The Fremont ADU was a fun little project for a colleague of mine. Her goal was to add a complete accessory dwelling unit to the side of her main residence for shorter term use as a rental but then long term use of her parents once they retired. The new addition matches the main house in style, has its own separate entrance and access to the shared backyard. The unit has been fully rented since its completion and has more than paid for itself.
