ABOUT
Scott Smithwick
ARCHITECT
Hi, I’m Scott and I’m so grateful you stopped by. For the last 25 years, I’ve worked as architect, designer, project manager, and collaborator with a wide variety of clients on diverse project types to make their visions a reality in a complex and expensive industry. I first found a love for design while watching my dad sketch floor plans of houses and cabins as a young boy on old fashioned graph paper. That inspired me to learn the craft of technical hand drafting in high school before CAD was popular, which then led me to study architecture in college, followed by my first internship building a model of the Klutz Press corporate headquarters office.
In my career, I have focused on providing excellent service to my clients and I strive to represent their interests throughout the design and construction process. I have extensive experience in budgeting, programming, design, project schedules, design team management, oversight and coordination, construction administration, and project closeout. I am a proven leader of project teams from small tenant improvements, to large ground-up development, and through all phases of a project. I have a collaborative team-focused approach, treat all team members with respect, and seek to gain all input, which enables my clients to make the best, most educated decisions for their project. I am also a devoted Christian, husband, and father to two amazing girls!
